Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Carol Mauriello has been serving as an Associate Veterinarian since January 2011 and brings a special passion for internal medicine — especially feline medicine, where she proudly considers herself a “cat guru.” She is a member of the Feline Practitioners Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Maine Veterinary Medical Association.
Originally from the Bronx, New York, Dr. Mauriello earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Baruch College of the City University of New York in 2000 before going on to graduate from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She received recognition for Excellence in Feline Internal Medicine, reflecting her dedication to advancing care for cats.
Dr. Mauriello has been working in cat rescue and shelters since her teenage years, supporting organizations such as North Shore Animal League and the ASPCA. Her lifelong commitment to feline welfare continues both inside and outside the clinic.
At home, she shares her life with two Siamese cats — Allen the Lovable Criminal and Kira the Perfect Pretty Kitty. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys fitness, gardening, science fiction and fantasy, and music. Her partner, Eric, is a musician.
Dr. Mauriello finds great fulfillment in helping cats and their families navigate health challenges with compassion and expertise.
