Since 1986, the Yarmouth Veterinary Center has been providing high quality veterinary services for residents of the Yarmouth area, as well as those of Portland, Brunswick, Falmouth, Freeport and Cumberland. What started off as a house-call-only business by two Yarmouth veterinarians has grown into a full-service animal hospital providing a comprehensive selection of veterinary services ranging from elective surgery and dentistry to behavioral and nutritional consultations.

In addition to our animal hospital, we also operate a pharmacy where you can purchase all of your pet medications and a general store that offers a wide variety of pet supplies, including prescription diet foods, toys and training aids. Furthermore, because pet care is not limited to veterinarian visits alone, we also offer pet grooming and pet boarding services to keep your pet clean and healthy.

Our Veterinarians Provide Comprehensive Services

Every veterinarian at our animal hospital strives to provide high quality preventative healthcare and comprehensive care for your ill or injured pet. Our services include diagnostics, in-house and out of house laboratory tests, digital X-rays and diagnostic ultrasounds. Pets can be treated as in-patient or out-patient and can rely on timely, professional care, whether in emergencies, for management of chronic conditions or for senior pet care.

Surgery options include spaying and neutering, elective and non-elective procedures, ACL repairs and laser surgery. As your pet may experience discomfort after surgery, we also provide immediate and chronic post-operative pain management. In addition to surgery, our animal hospital offers the following dentistry services for your pet: dental cleaning and evaluation, digital dental X-rays, oral surgery, extractions, treatment of oral tumors and individualized home dental care programs. With our convenient in-house and online pharmacy, you can order all necessary preventative care medications, as well as tick and flea control, intestinal parasite and heartworm treatments to keep your pet healthy.

Since many people have questions about the wide range of pet products available nowadays, our experienced staff can advise you about the various choices of pet supplies. At our animal hospital, we provide a range of pet supplies to make sure you get the proper food for your cat, dog, or other pet. We offer Science Diet and Prescription Diet foods for pets have special nutritional needs, as well as healthy treats, fun toys and the safest collars, leashes, halters and the most effective training aids. For pets with coats and paws that require special attention, we offer pet grooming services. Our grooming services include nail trims, routine dog baths, cat clips and comb outs, as well as grooming supplies and equipment at our general store.
