If you have an upcoming appointment with our Yarmouth veterinarian, knowing what to expect can help you prepare for it. At Yarmouth Veterinary Clinic, which first opened in 1986, our veterinarians provide pets with high-quality, comprehensive care. Our patients can come in for wellness and sick visits, surgical procedures, dentistry services and drop-offs. We even offer house calls for patients who cannot make it out to our facility for care. Our services provide care for all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, rodents, birds, reptiles, fish, amphibians, ferrets and rabbits.
We would like our clients to understand our business policies before arriving for appointments. This information includes our clinic hours and payment options. We provide you with other important information, such as patient records and appointment reminders. We also offer a complimentary website membership that gives you access to wellness tips for pets, information on valuable savings for office visits, a free subscription to our Pet Living and Wellness Newsletter and information on pet health and pet care. Clients can also set up a free Petly account in order to access their pet’s medical record at any time. We also offer a list of veterinary resources that clients might find helpful, such as links to information on pet behavior problems, the American Veterinary Medical Association and board-certified veterinary nutritionists.
Please be aware that there are a number of check-ins and consents to look over before bringing your pet in for an appointment. We provide you with a convenient way to go over this information, print forms and fill them out, so you and your pet will be all set when you arrive for your appointment. Our check-in and consent categories include new or updated client information, new or updated patient information, boarding, dental cleaning, oral surgery, grooming for cats, spaying, neutering, laser therapy, surgery and new-to-the-owner puppy and kitten forms. We also have separate check-in and consent forms for dogs, cats, fish, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles, rodents, birds and amphibians. By looking over this information, you will know what to expect at your pet’s visit. Printing out and filling in consent forms ahead of time will help speed up your waiting time when you arrive at our office.
If you are bringing in a puppy for an appointment, please look over our puppy checklist. This list includes our recommendations for the types of care puppies should receive, such as vaccines, tick and flea control, heartworm preventive and intestinal parasites. We will also go over advice on puppy behavior and nutrition.
